PS.1.a Learn effective technical questioning skills including note taking and feedback.

PS.1.b Practice & learn behaviors of productive developers such as daily coding and use of different communication tools.

PS.1.c Develop time management skillset which helps maintain proper workflow.

PS.1.d Learn effective financial planning and budgeting for long term financial goals.


Career Development

PS.2 Develop in depth understanding on how to grow career as developer.

PS.2.a Understand the context of professional skills within Pursuit and effective ways of taking advantage of content.

PS.2.b Learn the hiring process as developer and how Pursuit curriculum develops supports the hiring process.

PS.2.c Create a personal narrative "Pop Pitch" that reflects technical journey into Pursuit. Understand how "Pop Pitch" can be a tool for marketing own brand as developer.

PS.2.d Understand best practices for networking and fostering fostering professional relationships. This includes practice with professionals in tech industry.

PS.2.e Finalize project portfolio and update employment resources such as resume, Linkedin and cover letter.

PS.2.f Emulate developer work experiences in order to prepare for professional development roles.


Professional Skills

PS.3 Develop in depth professional skills that target professional growth and experience.

PS.3.a Construct resume and Linkedin profile based on Pursit resume template and Linkedin template.

PS.3.b Model personal brand by creating Cover Letter that reflects personal experience. This includes learning best practices, poor example case studies and following Pursuit template.

PS.3.c Understand behavioral interview component and learn best practices. This includes roleplaying with peers, staffs and professionals.

PS.3.d Use job application resources to apply for relevant jobs. Learn the best process and resources for applying for jobs including networking skills.

PS.3.e Understand interview process in context of telephone interviews. This includes best practices and ongoing telephone interview skills development.

PS.3.f Learn how to create a product demo and test product.

PS.3.g Understand important design principles including UI/UX Design.

PS.3.h Gauge best Practices for negotiating job offer.

PS.3.i Understand technology trends and how to target skills.

PS.4 Model and practice communication and presentation skills through group work, practice and self reflection.
